Thank you former President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush « HillBuzz

nm_george_laura_bush_081128_mnIf there are any of you out there with any connection at all to the Bushes, we implore you to give them our thanks…you tell them that a bunch of gay Hillary guys in Boystown, Chicago were wrong about the Bushes…and are deeply, deeply sorry for any jokes we told about them in the past, any bad thoughts we had about these good, good people.

Thank you former President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush

We know absolutely no one in Bush family circles and have never met former President George W. Bush or his wife Laura.

If you have been reading us for any length of time, you know that we used to make fun of “Dubya” nearly every day…parroting the same comedic bits we heard in our Democrat circles, where Bush is still, to this day, lampooned as a chimp, a bumbling idiot, and a poor, clumsy public speaker.

Oh, how we RAILED against Bush in 2000…and how we RAILED against the surge in support Bush received post-9/11 when he went to Ground Zero and stood there with his bullhorn in the ruins on that hideous day.

We were convinced that ANYONE who was president would have done what Bush did, and would have set that right tone of leadership in the wake of that disaster.  President Gore, President Perot, President Nader, you name it.  ANYONE, we assumed, would have filled that role perfectly.

Well, we told you before how much the current president, Dr. Utopia, made us realize just how wrong we were about Bush.  We shudder to think what Dr. Utopia would have done post-9/11.  He would have not gone there with a bullhorn and struck that right tone.  More likely than not, he would have been his usual fey, apologetic self and waxed professorially about how evil America is and how justified Muslims are for attacking us, with a sidebar on how good the attacks were because they would humble us.

History eventually will give us the correct view of George and Laura Bush. These two people (and they are indeed a couple!) are classy, beautiful and generous souls who have been crucified by the press and the silly masses who listen to the press. I wish Laura Bush would share her thoughts with us who indeed admire her. Here is a lady who gives new meaning to class. When I see a picture of the current first lady (sorry, just can’t capitalize that!), and then I remember Laura Bush and her loveliness — no comparison, folks! Oh, if we could just wake up tomorrow morning and see the Bushes back in the White House!

Wow Patricia pretty much said it ‘all’! I loved the both of them and saw the devotion to our Country and to each other, it was obvious.Once when POTUS BUSH was coming to an event (Boyscout camp) down our little country road in horse country in Alabama, all the big farm owners lined that long narrow road with huge welcoming signs. President Bush’s motorcade came very slowly so we could see him with his nose pressed against the limo window with both hands waving on the window. I still cry when I think about it. Later that evening he spoke at a dinner and said, “I went down the most beautiful road in the country today and I couldn’t believe all the folks lining the road, so I told my driver to slow down so I could wave to them all. It made me 10 minutes late to an event.

John Bolton characterized Obama as our “First Post-American President” recently. Let’s hope that George W. Bush and Laura Bush are not our last American presidential couple. The topic of “American” versus “Post-American” is a serious one that our citizens need to understand. The former revere the founders and the principles they followed in penning the Constitution, for example. The latter believe the founders were fundamentally misguided and that the Constitution is a flawed document. That’s the explicit thought expressed by our current President in an interview some time back. The former would take this country to new heights in leadership and decency. The latter is taking us down in every way conceivable.
Thank you George and Laura for strengthening us. We’ll try not to ruin the country you so love.

President Bush just had a hard time getting his point across on the stage, but now, we have an eloquent speaker who has no points. Well, he has an agenda, but he surely doesn’t want us to know it.

    “Actions speak louder than words.”

    God bless George and Laura.
