Palin’s Revenge: Who’s Laughing Now?

By C. Edmund Wright

Now correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t I hear the Jurassic media bury the career of Sarah Palin just last July?  And weren’t they joined in this mockery by the so-called conservative elites like David Brooks and Karl Rove and Joe Scarborough and so on?

Wasn’t Mo Dowd just delirious in fact that the wicked witch (of her world) was dead?

You betcha.

Well, just who is looking out of touch and foolish now? Hint: It isn’t the Killa from Wasilla.  And yes, I think that is her Brinks Truck in fact. One of them anyway.

The temptation here is to rub the seven million dollar book advance in the face of all her naysayers — then add that the book is coming out early and in fact breaking all kinds of sales records though not even edited yet.  But we won’t do that for Mo’s sake.

Another temptation is to chide the Jurassics and the elites who were snickering at the thought she could command the six figures fees the big boys get for speaking engagements — with the reports that she is currently sifting through some eleven hundred offers.  Cha-ching.  We won’t make a big deal over that either.  It might make Colin Powell blush.

Living well is the best revenge! Glad she has kept her head, and her family together despite all the insane attacks on them. That which doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger! She has to make her critics nervous, because Sarah is stronger than ever! God bless her, and glad for her.

Can’t wait to but this book and read about a real American, not some blow dried hussy. Have you noticed that Republican women are way hotter than dumocrat women? And the dumocrats are always mad.
The beauty of the Tea Party and 9-12 and Sarah Palin movement is that the people are happy and smiling. There is no angry screaming as at dumocrat evemts.

Miller was dead on. I knew she would be awesome because I haven’t seen the press hate anyone that much since Reagan.

I always liked Palin, maybe because I love Alaska (in the summertime).

I never understood the vitriol directed against her, primarily by the left but also by a few “leaders” in the Republican Party. Of course it’s obvious why so many leftist women dislike her; she’s accomplished, handsome, and conservative.

One thing that blindsided her in the election was that she didn’t talk like a policy geek. She didn’t know the details of “critical issues” like the Washington insiders do. At the time I figured, so what. These insider wonks have given us one disaster after another over the past several decades.

Palin is one of the best speakers the Republicans have had since Reagan, yet the campaign didn’t seem to recognize this as her handlers had her give the same stump spiel over and over. This made her look like she had no original ideas and was simply a “one trick pony.”

These “smart” leaders of the Republican Party must be ditched. They engineered two election defeats in a row. I don’t put a lot of stock in their judgment.

The thing to watch about Palin is to see if she drifts left like so many Republicans have done in the last few years. Newt for example.

I have noticed that Newt is not an overwhelming supporter of Palin. Maybe he sees a threat by her to take over the ground he voluntarily gave up on the Republican right.

Palin going on the Oprah show is not a good sign. By doing so she seems to be saying “please accept me.” Besides why build Oprah’s popularity? Conservatives should do nothing to validate Oprah in any way.

Palin will never convert the women who watch this show. And, of course, she’ll get ambushed like so many of her like minded conservatives have. When will our side ever learn?

I admit that it bothered me that Palin resigned her office which made it look like she was cutting and running from the heat. I don’t count her out due to this because she seems politically savvy. Time will tell.
